Job Summary:  

This position has functional responsibility for all procurement, receiving, and distribution activities. The position is directly responsible for developing and overseeing strategic and tactical plans that meet the company objectives for profitability, cost control, product quality, compliance, employee development, and customer service.

This position is a crucial member of the management group responsible for the development and execution of strategic plan for Account Management, Supply Chain/Procurement, and Warehouse operations.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

Supply Chain:

• Continuously evaluate supply-chain partners and the fulfillment of a reproducible inventory plan

• Implement automated planning techniques (ERP) to effectively manage inventory; set up and maintain min/max, lead times, and safety stock levels to ensure planned inventory uptime, improve inventory planning and reduce overall material costs

• Work hand in hand with Quality to assess supply chain reliability, quality, and lead time compliance

Account Management: 

• Introduce a Customer Perfect Order Methodology in the Product Fulfillment Process and effectively measure its impact through identified KPI’s

• Ensure a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and order fulfillment ownership

• Implement a continuous feedback mechanism in an aim to ensure customer and key stakeholder satisfaction

Warehouse:

• Evaluate day-to-day warehouse processes for efficiency improvements to reduce redundancy and cost

• Implement a continuous process for ensuring inventory accuracy and ERP warehouse location management

• Introduce a prioritization process identifying short- and medium-term deliverables

Cross Functional:

• Work diligently with Quality to develop procedures that will improve quality, standardize processes, and reduce cost

• Assist Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance initiatives and support in regulatory body as well as customer audit preparation and remediation

• Develop a product market introduction operational plan ensuring a comprehensive product fulfilment and account management strategy is in place before launch

• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure they meet individual and group objectives as contribution to the company’s strategic annual goals

• Assign department goals based on the company’s annual strategic objectives

Experience/Skills:  

• Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

• Management/supervisory experience

• Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices

• Developed leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Hands-on working knowledge/experience of automated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent

• Budget development and oversight experience

Required Education/Licensing/Certification:  

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field; master’s degree a plus

• Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for a candidate who can demonstrate a combination of experience, training, and education to fulfill all duties and responsibilities of the position
