Danny has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and founded TeDan Surgical Innovations in 2006 with Daniel Bass and Terry Johnston. As President, Danny has guided the company through the launch of over 35 surgical access systems for spine, neuro, orthopedic, and cardiothoracic surgery. Under his leadership, TeDan Surgical Innovations has also achieved ISO 13485, CE, and MDSAP Certification and enjoyed 13 years of consistent growth since the founding of the company.
Danny holds a Rabbinical Degree from the Rabbinical College of Canada. Danny lives in Houston, Texas together with his wife and their six children.
Vice President, Engineering & Research and Development
Daniel has over 30 years of experience in medical device manufacturing and founded TeDan Surgical Innovations in 2006 with Danny Fishman and Terry Johnston. Daniel is a trained master craftsman who honed his trade with Aesculap AG in Tuttlingen, Germany. Daniel moved to the United States in 1984 ultimately managing the R&D / Customs and Repair Services Department at the Aesculap facility in California. Daniel left Aesculap in 1994 to start Pacific Surgical Innovations, an OEM Manufacturing Company and a year later, Surgical Enterprise Corporation, a Distribution Company. As VP of Engineering, he was responsible for the design and machining operations. As an integral member of the design team he helped develop the Shadowline and Versatrac spinal systems as well as the TrimLine® Anterior Cervical Retractor. Daniel started West Coast Surgical in 2005. During the first year, he designed retractor systems for MIS Lumbar and cervical surgery, which includes two patent applications for these new designs.
Daniel holds a Bachelor Degree in metal working sciences from Ferdinand Steinbeis Schule in Tuttlingen, Germany. Daniel lives in Missouri City, TX.
Director of Sales & Marketing
Terry has over 40 years of experience in medical device sales, marketing and R&D. Terry started his medical career with the Codman and Shurtleff Instrument company in 1978 (division of J&J). From there he joined the Aesculap Instrument Company in 1982 as the VP of Sales and Marketing. During his time at Aesculap, he was responsible for increasing their sales in the US Market by over 300% in 6 years. In 1988 Terry took control of the Aesculap R&D department for the US market, adding many new products for Spine, Neuro and Microsurgical Procedures. In 1992 Terry left Aesculap and started Pacific Surgical Innovations manufacturing and Surgical Enterprise Corp. distribution company along with Daniel Bass and Thomas Wiedenmaier. There he invented the Shadow-Line cervical retractor along with many new revolutionary cervical spine products that have improved the cervical and lumbar surgical procedures. In 1999 the Pacific Surgical Innovations and the Surgical Enterprise Corporation was sold to Cardinal Health. In 2006 Terry foundedTeDan Surgical Innovations along with Danny Fishman and Daniel Bass.
Terry holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Terry lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Terry is a veteran of the US Army.
Vice President, Business Development
With over 25 years of product marketing and management experience in the medical device industry, Ed joined the TeDan Surgical Innovations team in 2017 to accelerate the growth of the company by building market opportunities through organized growth initiatives, industry partnerships and international market expansion programs. Prior to joining TeDan Surgical Innovations, Ed was the Global Business Director of Neuro/ENT Surgery with Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, headquartered in Germany. He’s also served in leadership roles at American Medical Systems, Kyphon, Baxter, and Cardinal Health.
Ed holds a B.S in Marketing and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley. Ed lives in Sugar Land, Texas together with his wife and their two children.
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance
Lynne joined the team in 2019 with over 25 years of hands-on quality systems management and product commercialization experience in the medical device space. Most recently, Lynne was the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager at Galil Medical. She has also served in leadership roles with IDev Technologies, Guidant, and Quetzel Biomedical.
Lynne holds a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. Lynne resides in Richmond, Texas with her husband.
